Shadow Lover "Lovers of Lust Lovers of Lies"

Every time Shadow Lover performs "Lovers of Lust Lovers of Lies" crowds get caught up in "the fever". The thumpin' beat and gyrating, deadpan sexy electronic backing vocals ensnare you in a sexy seduction like that of a stranger in a dark dive bar while Ava Omega Jarden croons about a smoke and mirrors romance with a lover that looks like an angel but gives kisses of hate and kisses of pain. This sonic journey has now become a video shot in Centralia, Pennsylvania, an industrial turned ghost town with coal fires still burning under cracked cement

Here are more of my favorite moments from the video (look for a cloaked Mr Taurus doin' a back bend)

Go Sharon Needles... PT 2

Here we go again...

and if this B don't win it, I'm a throw a beady eyed contact with my rubber tentacle hands!

Last Nite's Party: Design on a Dime

Another amazing year!

Last nite I volunteered for New York based designer, Juniper Tedhams, who was a doll and created quite the graphic room with campaign beds and 19th century French chandeliers

Other favorites included:

Without realizing it I fell madly in love with the Nickelodeon room. Again! Although they switched up last year's Spongebob them for a Ninja Turtles vibe

Make sure to pop by this weekend for some spectacular finds!

Housing Works Design on a Dime 2012

You got a dime? You got design!

Well maybe more than a dime, but either way tonight is the grand opening event of Housing Works' annual "Design on a Dime" featuring interior decorators, furniture designers and home decor celebs creating vignettes that are a mix of deeply discounted donated goods and pieces curated from the archives of Housing Works.

Stock up on Eames, Chippendale and art nouveau at great prices with 100% proceeds benefiting HW and people living with HIV / AIDS

Some former rooms from DOD's past

I'm Spinning Around

Lately, I've been on an arugula kick. I crave the bitter, peppery stems all day at work and run home to pace the floor of my new apartment indulging in a bowl tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper.

But all this greens cleaning has caused me to find a void in my life: a salad spinner

I always felt this product to be pretty preposterous, but now its merits at sashaying the water away are a quick draw. And the chartreuse and white color combo is mod and chic.

Plus, hello built in workout? I'ma have killer biceps come Summer.

Spin, spin sugar snap peas and radicchio!

Gracias Por el Anuncio???

Rumor has it Cinco de Mayo is really just a clever ad man's creation to push Coronas. Could be but people also claim Hallmark invented Valentine's Day. That said what the hell does Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cereal have to do with Mexico's defeat of the French at the Battle of Puebla?

Is that how the massively outnumbered and poorly equipped Mexican militia knocked down the French army? With a touch of brown sugar?

Or is this just blatant marketing with no knowledge? I mean, shit at least Corona is an import of Mexico!

RuPaul's Glamazon Dot Com!

We still don't have a winner (tricky queen!) but we have Ru's latest self-promote / pretty nifty take on 50's horror and Godzilla

The final three take revenge on all the guest judges of the season and perma, sorta judges Santino and Michelle Visage racking up special points for each kill

(Wow, Santino's worth a bundle! )

Of course, you had to include the Mistress of the Dark (and first episode's very special guest judge) Elvira!

Who explodes into a belfry of bats

and then a melting skeleton

All while Ru lovingly looks on from the comfort of her spaceship

But the real shocker of this vid is Pam Anderson does the best acting of the bunch!

At the end of "Glamazon" Ru squishes the final three under her heel, but we'll have to wait til next week to see who ultimately takes Tokyo and the crown.

Go Sharon Needles!

Tonite's the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race, season 4.

Chad Michaels is indeed a polished professional and Phi Phi served a proper foil, but I am a full on Sharon Needles fan. Her take on drag is fresh and forward and Mr Taurus and I will be raising a glass, a cookie and probably our voices tonite to see her take her rightful crown

(Injecting some seasoning into the season)

Last Nite's Party: Park Slope Housewarming

Thanks to all who came out this weekend to wish Mr Taurus and I a happy and warm house!

Oh No! Barnabas Collins Bites the Dust!

A personal hero of mine (and one of the best lookin' men in a double breasted suit, might I add) Jonathan Frid, aka Barnabas Collins has died!

The 87 year old actor passed away on Friday the 13th, natch, yet his family just released the news

On the eve of the Tim Burton big movie adaption, Mr Frid's work as the daytime vampire with a conscious was bound to get new fans and recognition. It's a shame he won't be able to witness the new found fandom but we at It Can't All Be Dior tip our baying dog head canes to you fine sir!

Non-Animal Testing Still Signature at LUSH

British cosmetics brand LUSH, which bases its brand on homemade, vegetarian products, is putting the pressure on world governments and other makeup and skincare companies that still rely on archaic animal testing. Signatures collected online and in stores will go towards The Humane Society International's 'Global Pledge to be Cruelty Free'.

Further LUSH is encouraging customers and the compassionate alike to communicate with companies that still rely on the unfounded and outdated testing on animals.

Here's a great chance to not only look (and smell!) good on the outside, but stand up for the animals trapped inside laboratories for unnecessary testing

Etsy Mason Jar Wall Vases... a New DIY Project?

I should stop being such a penny pincher, right, and just cough up the measly $19 for these mason jar bud vases / sconce thingies

But Mr Taurus has a knack at turning old stuff into new and is super handy, so perhaps this is an upcoming DIY project for our weekend

(Wood and reclaimed mason jar sconce, $19 at A Country Wayhttp://www.etsy.com/listing/90555510/spring-flowers-wood-wall-shelf-worn?ref=v1_other_1)

Prada Spring 2012 is Really Getting Some Mileage

All stylists wanna do is put Prada's vroom vroom vroom in the room room

(Just a taste of the many lady stars and model types that drive the Prada fashion force)

And here's the 50's hot rod collection parked in the windows of the Madison Avenue flagship

These looks really rev my engine!
